Girls Club Forming On Clifton Park Town Board

Amy Flood/Lynda Walowit/Amy McGregor Flood at odds with Supervisor Phil Barrett

Residents who tune in on YouTube for Clifton Park’s town board meetings see first-hand how Clifton Park’s town board has been taken over by three councilwomen, Amy Standaert, Lynda Walowit, and Amy McGregor Flood.

These three outnumber the other two board members, Supervisor Phil Barrett and Councilman Anthony Morelli, giving them a win every time one of them wants a resolution passed.

It’s a shame instead of being independent thinkers, they formed a “girls club” on the town board and took control.

A prime example of this trio is on 4/4/22, Councilwoman Standaert decided they should have new computers.

Councilwoman Flood moaned she doesn’t have a computer that is just for town business, and second the motion.

Supervisor Barrett questioned if they could find a less expensive model, spending $ 16,596.00 of tax payer money for only 6 lap tops was excessive.

The councilwomen would not settle for less, despite Councilman Morelli voting no along with Supervisor Barrett.

You guessed it, they out voted the other two and are enjoying their new computers.

The sad part is this money will take away from our nonprofit organizations, who depend on money from the town. These organizations benefit residents, not just town board members.

Look out Clifton Park, this self – serving trio has got into your tax dollars and it doesn't end here !
